How to Use CGDI K2 VAG ID48 96-Bit Copy Function?

CGDI has officially launched the VAG ID48 96-Bit Copy feature for the CGDI K2 Smart Key Tool—unlocking powerful new capabilities for VW, Audi, Skoda, and SEAT models.

🚗 How to Copy ID48 96-Bit Transponders:
Select “Chip Identification Copy” in the menu



Choose “Chip Identification” or “Automatic Identification”

Place the original chip or key into the CGDI K2 induction coil



Once recognized as an ID48 chip (locked & clonable), tap “Decoded Copy”



Select “48 (96 bits) online calculation”

Start the query calculation

Keep the original key in the coil for verification

Remove the original key and insert a compatible aftermarket ID48 chip (modifiable ID)

The chip will be successfully cloned

Enjoy 6 months of free online updates. Simply update the software directly through your device.

📌 Notes:
The CGDI K2 does not include an original ID48 chip

Use a compatible aftermarket ID48 chip that supports ID modification
