How to do All Keys Lost for Honda Civic with CGDI K2 and CGDI A2?

Add a New Key to a 2019 Honda Civic (All Original Keys Lost)

Tools: CGDI A2 (OBD immobilizer) and CGDI K2 (smart key/remote)

Important prep

Only the new key to be programmed may be inside the car — remove any other smart keys.

Make sure both CGDI A2 and CGDI K2 are charged/connected and the vehicle battery is stable.

Step 1 — Start “Lost All Smart Keys” with CGDI A2

Connect the CGDI A2 to the vehicle’s OBD port.

On the device navigate: IMMO → Asia → HONDA → CIVIC → Smart Key → Button Type → 2019–2020 → Lost all smart keys.






Follow on-screen prompts. (Do not have any other smart keys in the vehicle or the procedure will fail.)



Step 2 — Create the Remote with CGDI K2

Place the new remote key on the CGDI K2 coil.

Choose Chip Identification Copy → Chip identification and confirm the chip is ID46.




Select Remote Generation→ HONDA CIVIC ID46 → Generate remote control.

Wait until generation completes.




Step 3 — Program the New Key with CGDI A2

With the new key ready, enter the vehicle and press the engine start button twice.

Respond to the CGDI A2 prompts about whether the car turns on.

Hold the start button, press OK on the tool, then release the start button and press OK again on the tool.



Enter the number of keys to program (e.g., 1).



Follow the on-screen instructions to turn ignition on/off as requested.

When prompted, check the dashboard anti-theft indicator — if programming succeeded the indicator should go off.

Finally, turn the car off and then on again within 15 seconds to complete the process.

If all steps complete without errors, the new key is programmed and ready to use.
