Preparation Before Operation:
Perform the process on a bench; remove the FEM/BDC board.

1. Read Key Information
1.1 Read the original car key information.
1.2 Verify that the new key is blank.
2. Check FEM/BDC Version
If the system indicates that the FEM/BDC version is not supported, upgrade it first.
Navigate to the BMW F/G series programming page to downgrade the version (refer to the specific downgrade manual).
3. Preprocessing Steps
3.1 Identify chip pin 1 location.
Note: The 8-pin adapter’s red cable corresponds to pin 1 (refer to the provided diagram for guidance).
3.2 Access the FEM/BDC key match page to start preprocessing.
4. Add Key (With or Without Working Key)
4.1 Add a key using a working key.
4.2 Add a key without a working key (requires DME ISN).
5. Restore FEM/BDC to Original Status
Note: If the key does not function properly, go to the BMW F/G series programming function, select BDC_BODY, and click “Start Programming.”
After successful programming, access the F-series coding function to code the FEM/BDC. This should resolve key-related issues and restore the module to its original state.
5.1 Program the FEM/BDC.
5.2 Code the FEM/BDC.
5.3 Return to the FEM/BDC key match page.
The system should now indicate an unsupported version, confirming that the FEM/BDC is restored to its original version and status.
