CGDI CG70 Successfully Detects Tesla Airbag Fault Code

Testing and verification confirm that the CGDI CG70 Airbag Reset Tool can successfully read fault codes from a Tesla airbag control unit.

Device Information:

Tool: CGDI CG70 Airbag Reset Tool

Target Module: Tesla Airbag Control Unit (Part No.: 1512876-00-E)

Procedure:
  • Properly connect the jumpers to the corresponding ports on the Tesla airbag ECU.

  • Connect the CG70 harness and jumper cables.
  • Attach the harness to the CGDI CG70 Airbag Reset Tool.
  • Connect the CG70 to a computer via USB cable and supply power to the device.

  • Launch the CG70 software and select the appropriate Tesla model.
  • Run the “Read DTC” function.
The detected fault code is:
B1193:63-AF — CRASH Event Storage Full and Locked

Diagnosis Result:
The airbag control unit (Part No.: 1512876-00-E) has recorded a “Crash Event Storage Full and Locked” error. This module requires professional repair and should be sent to CGDI technical support for further processing.
